Recorded 16th December 2013 at Loughborough’s Conversation Analysis Day. The theme for that years meeting was “Conversational Structures and Sequences”. Catrin scrutinises the declarative nature of the questions in interviews with football managers, she unpicks the turn design of the interviewer’s questions and how they mobilise the response of the manager. Doing this, Catrin shows that there is a strong orientation to the interview as being organised in terms of assessments and not the expected question-answer sequences.
