Welcome back to the State of Talk podcast. For this second episode Dr Emily Hofstetter talks to Prof. Leelo Keevalik about a piece of video data involving a syntactic-bodily unit used in a collaborative completion by a teacher and a student in a partner dance class.

This ‘listening in on a data session’ format is another podcast format that we – the ISCA publication committee – are testing out. Our broader aims – with the new ISCA website and our Forum Newsletter is to generate discussion, collaboration, and share excitement about the kinds of interactional discoveries that come from detailed, naturalistic studies.

We want to keep these podcasts adaptable. So, as we progress, listen out for different styles of podcasts, some longer, some shorter, some focused on an interview with an analyst, some focused on a piece of data. If you have ideas or want to participate, please reach out to us on the ISCA website. We would love your input in what we are building, which we hope is a truly International connection amongst our EM and CA communities.
